Modern architecture can be a challenge for ordinary windows. Weather Shield’s new Contemporary Collection of window and door products can eliminate the compromises and give you so much more. This full line of windows and doors includes casements, awnings, pictures, sliding and hinged doors. The narrow profile frames and sash are designed for a slim-line appearance and more exposed glass to maximize your viewing space. Our low-maintenance extruded aluminum exteriors have anodized or AAMA 2605 performance finishes for long-lasting color, and the enhanced frame and glazing systems are designed for maximum energy savings.

Casement
With operating sizes up to 42” x 96”, larger views are no longer reserved for fixed windows. Minimal, contemporary hardware folds neatly out of the way. With a single throw of a lever the sash locks sequentially in multiple places creating a virtually airtight seal.

Nested folding handles and the sequential lock lever have a slim design that is both smooth and secure. Choose from a variety of finish colors to complement the design of your project.

Special Shape
Like all products in this line, Contemporary Collection Special Shape Windows feature narrow profile frames and sash designed for a slim-line appearance and more exposed glass to maximize your viewing space. You can also use them in conjunction with other Contemporary windows and doors to add a personal touch to your home that’s as unique as you are. We can craft any shape you can envision. Units feature an extruded aluminum-clad exterior and a wood interior.

Multi-Slide Door
The Contemporary Collection Multi-Slide Door is available in widths of up to 50 feet and heights of up to 10' feet. Door panels are available in widths up to 5 feet. Configurations include single direction and bi-parting, with stacked or pocketing panels. Contemporary door panels include a 3-1/4" or 5-1/8” bottom rail option. Low profile and high performance sills are also available.

The square, narrow contemporary back plate on the Multi-Slide Door handle set offers a clean-sophisticated look. Available in three finishes.

Divided Lites
Grilles
No matter the style of your project there are grille options to suit your design. There are three grille options available including Wood Removable Grilles, Grilles Between the Glass, and Simulated Divided Lites.
Wood Removable Grille
Wood Removable Grilles feature a frame design that offers strength superior to stick grilles offered by other window manufacturers. The frame snaps securely into the interior sash using a concealed pin system. Wood Removable Grilles make window cleaning easier, yet provide an added interior dimension. Custom grille designs are available.
Grille Between the Glass consist of aluminum muntin bars in between two panes of insulating glass, giving you the look of divided lites while making window cleaning easier.
Simulated Divided Lites (SDL) offer the authentic look of True Divided Lites without sacrificing energy efficiency. Interior and exterior bars are permanently adhered to the glass and a narrow spacer bar is positioned within the insulating glass airspace. Unlike True Divided Lites, SDL utilizes a single pane of insulating glass, decreasing the potential for energy loss. Exterior bars will be finished to match the exterior finish specified. Shown with optional Grille Between the Glass (GBG).
